Shirdi
Puttaparthi or Prasanthinilayam Abode of highest Peace is famous all
over the world as the main ashram of Shri Satya Sai Baba. It is in
the South-
Western corner of Andhra Pradesh at Puttaparthi. He set up
this Ashram 40 years ago and spends most of the year here but
sometimes moves to Whitefields Ashram near Bangalore or Kodaikanal
in Tamilnadu in the hot season. Thousands of devotees flock here to
have a darshan of the Baba who is claimed to be the incarnation of
Shirdi Sai Baba. Puttaparthi is 250 kms. From Bangalore and 30 kms.
from Dharmavaram.“Service to Humanity is service to Divinity” is the
basic concept that guides and runs the Sri Satya Sai Baba Trust.The
tourist attractions are the monuments inside the shrine museum
containing models of various temple structures like Golden Temple of
Amritsar, The Holy Mecca Masjid etc. and a planetarium.
