Day 01 Mumbai:
On arrival at the Mumbai Airport, meet our tour representative who
will escort you to the hotel. Mumbai which was formerly known as
Bombay in English. It is the capital city of Maharastra. Present
Mumbai was originally an archipelago of seven islands. Some of the
oldest edifices of the archipelago are the Elephanta Caves and the
Walkeshwar temple complex. Mumbai is the birthplace of Indian Cinema
and the entertainment industry is one of the major employer in here.
Most of India's major television and satellite networks are
headquartered in Mumbai. Check in hotel and spend the rest of the
day shopping in this big city as it is known for it. Later on return
back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 02 Mumbai:
After breakfast drive out for the local tour of Mumbai. Mumbai has a
long list of sites to be visited. Historical, religious and
archaeological sites, natural wonder and so on. Mumbai city has all
this and much more to offer to its tourists. Visit - Gateway of
India – the main attraction of Mumbai, Mani Bhawan – presently
functioning as Gandhi Memorial, Prince of Wales Museum, Marine Drive
– one of the best to discover Mumbai, Juhu Beach, Hanging Gardens,
Kamla Nehru Park, Tower of Silence, Jain Temples and so on. Late in
the evening return back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 03 Mumbai:
After breakfast drive to visit Elephanta Caves and the Walkeshwar
temple complex. Elephanta Caves which is just 10 Kms away from
Gateway of India. It is an epitome of Hindu Cave Culture. The
pillars and reliefs in the cave are gigantic in scale. The cave
complex has a collection of shrines, courtyards, inner cells, grand
halls and porticos arranged in the splendid symmetry of Indian
rock-cut architecture, and are filled with exquisite stone
sculptures of Hindu Gods and Goddesses. The Trimurti, which is at
the entrance to the caves is the celebrated trinity of Elephanta –
Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu and Lord Bhrama. Other Rashtrakuta
sculptures here are the reliefs of Nataraja and Sadashiva and the
splendid sculptures of Ardhanarishvara. Spend some time here and
later drive out to visit the Walkeshwar temple complex. This temple
is dedicated to the Hindu god Lord Shiva. It is located on the
Malabar Hill.This temple was originally built by the Kings of the
Silhara Dynasty. One of the oldest structures on the site is the
Venkateshwar Balaji Mandir & the Rameshwar Mandir. After visiting
these important places drive back to the hotel for an overnight
stay.
Day 04 Mumbai
After breakfast drive towards the Mumbai Airport to board your
flight to the onwards destination. |
