Day 01 Kolkata:
On arrival at the Kolkata airport meet our tour representative who
will escort you to the hotel. Kolkata which was formerly known as
Calcutta is the capital of West Bengal. It is the forth largest city
in India and is situated on the bank of river Hooghly. It is known
as ‘The Cultural Capital of India’, "The city of Processions, "City
of Joy" and others. It houses Calcutta Stock Exchange, which is
second largest stock exchange in India. Calcutta is one such city
which is famous for it 300 year old heritage and a cultural milieu.
Check in hotel and later spend the rest of the day shopping or at
leisure in this beautiful city.
Day 02 Kolkata:
Morning after breakfast drive out for a local tour and visit the
important places like Victoria Memorial – India’s finest tribute to
the British Raj, Birla Planetarium, Dakshineswar – a beautiful
navarathna temple dedicated to Bhabatarini, Belurmath – the
headquaters of Ramkrishna Math, Botanical Gardens, Tagore House, St.
Paul's Cathedral, Kalighat and many more. Later in the evening
return back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 03 Kolkata – Bagdogra- Darjeeling
Morning after breakfast drive towards Kolkotta airport to board your
flight to Bagdogra. On reaching Bagdogra meet our tour
representative who will escort you to the cab to drive to
Darjeeling. Darjeeling is one of the famous hill stations in West
Bengal. It is also called as the Queen of hill-stations. It is
internationally known for its tea industry. The Darjeeling Himalayan
Railway connecting the town with the plains was declared a World
Heritage Site. On reaching Darjeeling check in hotel and spend the
rest of the day at leisure.
Day 04 Darjeeling:
Morning after breakfast drive out for a local tour. Visit the
interesting places like - Tiger Hill – the highest point in the area
which provides the view of Kanchenjunga peaks, one can also view the
sunrise from this place, Dhoom Gompa, Batasia Loop, Happy Valley
Estate, Natural History Museum, Senchal Lake, Tea Gardens, Japanese
Peace Pagoda, Ava Art Gallery and so on. Later in the evening return
back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 05 Darjeeling – Gangtok:
After breakfast drive towards Gangtok which is the capital and the
largest town of Sikkim which is situated in the lower Himalayas.
Until the construction of Enchey Monastery Gangtok was a small
hamlet, its only now it is been made as one of the pilgrimage
centre. Gangtok generally means ‘lofty hills’, it is also the centre
of the Tibetan Buddhist culture. On reaching Gangtok check in hotel
and relax for the rest of the day at the hotel.
Day 06 Gangtok:
Morning after breakfast drive out for the local tour of Gangtok.
Visit the interesting places like Rumtek Gompa it’s a rich Tibetan
monastery, Tsongo or Changu Lake. Also involve yourself in the
adventurous sports like trekking, white-water rafting, hang gliding,
yak safari, and mountain biking. Late in the evening drive back to
the hotel for an overnight stay at the hotel
Day 07 Gangtok – Kalimpong:
Morning after breakfast drive to Kalimpong which is a hill station
nestled in the Shiwalik Hills. Kalimpong which was earlier well
known for its educational institution has now become one of the best
tourist destinations. Kalimpong is famous for its flowers specially
the array of orchids. There are a number of Buddhist monasteries
which has a rare Tibetan Buddhist scripture. On reaching Kalimpong
check in hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 08 Kalimpong:
Morning after breakfast drive out for the local tour. Visit the
interesting places like - Gompas, Flower Nurseries, Shri Mangal Dham,
Sericulture Research Institute and so on. Late in the evening return
back to the hotel for a night stay.
Day 09 Kalimpong – Bagdogra:
After breakfast drive towards Bagdogra Airport to board your flight
to the onwards destination. |
