Eco
Camp: 50 kms. away from Tezpur off the
road to Arunachal Pradesh on the banks of the Jia Bhooroli River
lies the Eco Camp-a unique experiment by the Assam Angler’s
Association and the State’s forest department. Set amidst thick
forests on either side snow capped mountains in the distance and a
gushing river on hand the Eco Camp provides many memorable hours.
White water rafting angling for the protected Mahseer fish is
permitted here on the condition that once caught they will be
released back. The food in the camp of modern tents is excellent and
the entertaining camp fire on most evenings go on till late in the
night.
